  • Mortimer Beckett and the Secrets of Spooky Manor is an adventure game released for Android and Windows. It was released by Paprikari in 2007 for these two platforms. The game received good reviews overall: while it is not a revolutionary game in any way, it does its things very well.

The game itself is a "hidden object" subtype of adventure game, in which you have to find hidden objects and usable items on hand-drawn backgrounds. This game comes with a twist: not only are the items hidden, they are usually broken into several pieces that you have to find and assemble. The game follows the story of Morty, who must search his uncle's mansion for the pieces of a ghost-buster machine. An interesting fact about this game is that if you click too many times on incorrect items, ghost will come out and punish you. There are also Hints available at certain locations, but only a few. Some of the items are very hard to find, especially in the later levels where they tend to be partially hidden by other items or be obscured in the background.

The game has quite nice and atmospheric graphics and music, some quite hard puzzles and an interesting story; it is worth checking it out if you like hidden object games.
