Stormfall: Age of War is a browser-based online real-time strategy game developed and published by Plarium. It launched in 2011 on Facebook.
At first, this game may be too restricted and seem to have too much hand-holding, but it is worth the wait. All of the quests in the beginning parts are fully voiced, and there are a lot of them, because they introduce you to the lots of different mechanics present in this game.
The game is similar to other online RTS games found elsewhere online. You start with one underdeveloped town which has several plots to construct in. After constructing enough buildings and amassing enough strength points, you have the ability to found new town in the vicinity. These are required to support larger armies and for faster resource gains. Everything in the game is time-gated: you give an order, and it will take a certain amount of time to complete. Battles aren't fought actually, you only receive reports of them after your armies reached their destinations.
Players can create or join alliances, chat with each other, trade and negotiate with each other via written messages. You have about 14 days of complete protection from attacks after registering; best advice is to use this time to look for an alliance in the beginning to help you.
The graphics are quite nice, and the game can be played on any computer with internet access, and it doesn’t take much time to issue orders and check up your empire during each short session.
