Might and Magic: Duel of Champions is a free-to-play Collectible Card Game released in 2013 by Ubisoft. It is available on Windows PCs or iPads.
The game begins by choosing your faction (Haven, Inferno or Necropolis), which determine your starting deck and your story in the campaign that acts as a tutorial for the game. Each encounter starts off with some dialogue, and you will earn XP and currencies for beating them while you are learning the game. It is recommended to start with this, as it is quite complex.
There are 3 types of cards: creatures, spells and Fortunes. Each card requires resources to use, some may even need combinations of 3 different abilities. Each player also receives 8 event cards, out of which 2 is present in a single match. These are extremely powerful, game-changing ones. Creature cards have 3 attributes: Health, attack damage and retaliation damage. Spell cards usually affect creatures on the board. Fortune cards are rule-changing ones, which require Destiny points to be put down. There are two rows each player can put creatures in. If there aren't any ones blocking the way, the Hero is attackable. Game ends when a Hero’s hp falls below zero.
The game has very nice graphics and good music and sound, has depth and a high learning curve. Players in matchmaking are usually much more advanced in terms of skills, so it can take the fun out initially; you need to invest in a little more time to get better and earn more decks.
